Who is the real hate monger?

Hermit is upset because I link to some sites are uncomfortable for him. Some of them are pretty dumb and I link to them for different reasons. One makes the idiotic assertion that teaching evolution is responsible for Hitler. I link to it because it shows the number of dead that communists killed. While I am not a rabid anti-communist I think it's important to always keep that in mind, lest atheists get on their high horses. They do tend to try and link 9/11 to religion. Is' the Muslim connection. They seem to just forget the poetical connection completely, so ignorant. So that's why that is there. Hermit is outragged. he can't believe I would link to that. But you know look at many atheists all over the net are in there every day saying that 9/11 proves religion is evil. or that the crusades prove Christianity will make you murder people.

I would think a socially conscious guy like Hermit would be more inclined to understand the desire to sound the cry of a social problem such as the hate group sector of atheism. But apparently when it comes to that social ill he wants to sweep it under the rug.

I found a site wailing on atheist Nexus. Atheist nexus is a pile of crap ran bu adolescent jerks. One of the cartoon that I find extremely distasteful, juvenile and offensive shows Jesus actually excreting eater eggs into a basket held by a Bishop. The "offensive" person warning us of the hateful content of this cartoon is doing us a service by showing that there is this vicious group of hateful people. Of course, Hermit acts like the person warning is is the villain, almost on a par with White supremacy.

I'm beginning to wonder is he really upset by it (he seems hysterical). Or is he just trying to manipulate me. I don't find the person doing the warning all that offensive. I see someone who may be real conservative and easily offended who is warning society about this hateful group. When is Hermit going to demand that Atheist Nexus take down the offensive cartoon? So you think for a moment they would?

here is what this person says, I would like to know if it's really all that hateful.

Subject: Examining Irrational Atheist Culture - Hate Filled Venom at Easter
Reply | Reply to author | Forward | Print | Individual message | Show original | Report this message | Find messages by this author

There is something cold and repulsive at the heart of atheist
culture, the sort of humour that is based on pulling the
chair out from under someone sitting down, puling the wings
of butterflies.

http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_kDyMtZ_dJwQ/SRFIJBheq_I/AAAAAAAAAb0/Ay8c7EH...

Not satisfied with their own unhappiness,
they seek to inflict it on others. They have chosen
the most trivial subset of empty Nihilism to believe in,
and thus have nothing positive to offer, but their spiritual
vacuum is not passive, but increasingly overt and aggressive..
like a black hole, sucking meaning and pleasure from life,
and they sense their sad state and so have to try and
rationalise their unhappiness;

http://www.atheistnexus.org/photo/2182797:Photo:17456?context=latest

Atheist Dogma serves to Rationalise their own misery and despair

First, as in any fact based, rational analysis, let us look
at some examples.. not the criticisms of theists, but the
cultural artifacts of atheists themselves;

It is Passover for Jews and Easter for Christians
and while I am neither Christian or Jew, I can observe that
the modern neo-Nazis are more constrained in their overt
anti-semitism (afraid they will get their arses kicked again,
as when the 1000 Year Retch was a pile of smouldering rubble in
less than a decade) the hate-filled propaganda directed at
Christians proceeds unabated;

http://www.atheistnexus.org/photo/happyeasteregg-1

Now most of us know the story of Jesus, and the various
interpretations of it's meaning, but have you ever seen
a more tasteless and peurile representation than the
adolescent nonsense which amuses atheists?

It is just plain Gibberish, wrong in so many ways.

First, Christ has nothing to do with Chocolate eggs,
which the commercial interests he turned out of the
Jewish Temple, promote months before Easter.

The Golden Calf has always competed with genuine religion,
but, unlike the ignorant atheists, most Christians seem quite
able to seperate the important message of Easter from a bit
of chocolate for the Kids, and the associated multi-million
dollar industry, diabetes and obesity.

I prefer Ramadan and Lent. In a consumer culture, a short respite
from consumerism is beneficial. Ultimately the best preventative
for the diseases of excess is some self control, and quiet reflection
on how we are driven by, or control, our wants and needs is as
essential pr-condition for mental and physical health.

While Christians, who are not as dogmatic and doctrinaire
as these atheist propagandists, are generally quite tolerant
and do not try and ban Chocolate Bunnies and Eggs, the
dog-in-the manger atheists are quite happy to produce images
which offend not only Christians, but other decent folk, and
even children, who continue to be the objects of forced atheist
indoctrination, though not on the scale of the USSR and Mao's
China;

http://www.atheistnexus.org/photo/2182797:Photo:1652?context=latest

Most shocking is the attempt by atheists to re-crucify Christ.

He represented a threat to bigots 2000 years ago and they
invented a lie, trumped up charges, to kill him.
Now atheists, revealing their incoherent rage that Jesus
still exerts incredible influence which thay can never achieve,
attempt to once again crucify him with a Big LIE!

Such bitter and savage fabrication is a measure of the desperate,
hysterical hate which consumes atheists.

But this cartoon is also a classic case of how little atheists
have to offer, even in their intended aim of social critique.
They not only misrepresent the relationship between Jesus and
the Chocolate industry, they portray the priesthood as the greedy
beneficiaries, not the multinational Corporations who actually
drive the profit making Idol, distracting from the True Message.

What we have in this dishonest atheist artifact is nothing but crude,
hate filled propaganda of distortion and deceit.

Times have not changed much for atheists since Pravda polemics.

"Atheism is the natural and inseparable part of Communism."
-Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin)

"Our program necessarily includes the propaganda of atheism."
- Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin)

"How can you make a revolution without firing squads?"
- Lenin

Jung was right

--

"Among all my patients in the second half of life, that is, over
thirty-five, there has not been one whose problem in the last
resort was not that of finding a religious outlook on life.
It is safe to say that every one of them fell ill because
he had lost that which the living religions of every age
have given their followers, and none of them has really
been healed who did not regain his religious outlook."

Did you read that whole thread, Joe? Your little friend over there isn't just complaining about an offensive cartoon, he's blaming atheists for everything from the murder of the Romanovs to the Holocaust, just like the other site I complained about which blames the Holocaust on evolution. He also makes a whole host of disparaging remarks about atheists in general and verbally abuses the atheists in the forum; his anger and hatred are not just directed at one or two cartons on an atheist site.

And I still maintain that few people being juvenile on the internet do not constitute a hate group; I've endured far worse abuse than that at the hands of Christians on the net and in real life.

What I'm asking for, Joe, is for you to rise above that kind of discourse, ignore the juvenile stuff instead of stooping to their level by behaving just like them, and try to engage those of us who are serious in a mature and respectful manner. Linking to crap like; behaving like the people you're complaining about, that doesn't help.

Joseph Hinman (Metacrock) said...

some people do mistakenly thing Hitler was an atheist. But what about atheists who think he was a Christian? That's all over the net and it's a total lie, it's disprovable. No atheist site has ever taken that down because it offends someone.

Besdies if you demand that one link come down because somewhere on that source one person says something stupid, then you have to take down all links.

that is not just not fair to act like one dumb statement is the whole thing.

Joseph Hinman (Metacrock) said...

btw other atheists have sent in hate mail n answer to this, cursing calling me names.

Anonymous said...

It's not just one comment, Joe, that guy is posting a steady stream of abuse, calling people morons, equating atheism in general with Stalinism, etc.

It's not as bad as your old link to the "Kill the Faggots" people, but it's still damned offensive. Promoting that kind of abusive behaviour isn't the answer tot the problem...I would have thought you'd want to set a better example instead of emulating those you are offended by.

Anonymous said...

"btw other atheists have sent in hate mail n answer to this, cursing calling me names"Well then they are idiots, who are doing the same thing your friend "fasgnadh" is doing; using someone else's perceived bad behaviour to justify their own bad behaviour.

Why do you think it's bad when they do it, and OK when the people you are linking to do it?

Joseph Hinman (Metacrock) said...

the early posts of atheist watch when I tried comparing that segment of atheists to the FBI criteria for hate groups, was met with extreme anger and cursing and declarations that I was so extremely hateful.

Atheists can't tolerate the slightest bit of criticism. They have always acted like just pointing out that they are hateful is an act of hate itself.

hypersensitive and cannot stand it when any sort of criticism, however fair or tame is leveled.

"Atheists can't tolerate the slightest bit of criticism. They have always acted like just pointing out that they are hateful is an act of hate itself."Funny, that's exactly how I would describe your behaviour on this blog...

Your little friend over there is not just pointing out that some atheists are hateful; he's equating atheism with Communism, calling people "morons" and worse when they disagree with him and generally acting like any ignorant, small minded bigot with a chip on his shoulder.

If you dislike this kind of behaviour so much when atheists do it why would you encourage the same kind of behaviour from Christians? You still haven't explained that to me...

Joseph Hinman (Metacrock) said...

communists are atheists. atheist try to distance themselves from their own past but communism is a part of that past, like it or not. Atheists are always reminding us of hte crusades and if we say "they weren't real christians" then they go "O the Scotsman fallacy." But you want to be given the privilege of distance from communism.

Anonymous said...

"communists are atheists."Not all Communists are atheists, ans not all atheists are Communists...

"Atheists are always reminding us of hte crusades and if we say "they weren't real christians" then they go "O the Scotsman fallacy." But you want to be given the privilege of distance from communism."I think we both agree that it's just as wrong to blame atheism in general for the Communists crimes as it is to blame theism in general for the crimes of nominally Christian regimes.

So my question to you is why are you promoting this kind of behaviour on your blog?

I tried to challenge you on your forum but when I signed up I got an email that says I have to send in some silly letter. I'm 19. I don't need my parent's permission. Can we debate on your forums or will you not allow my account to be activated?

Or we can debate on your blog.

Please let me know.

I think focusing on hatred only cultivates more hatred. For both sides.

When a group is being hateful, it will, in most cases, hang itself with that rope-- if the other group refuses to respond in kind.

That's my opinion.

OK great. do you want to do that on the 1x1 board on Doxa forums? Here? Or where?

I do not require that anyone write a letter. Are you sure you had the right site? Doxa forums.

all you have to do is sign up. If you misbehave I kick you off..but I'm sure you wont.

So my question to you is why are you promoting this kind of behaviour on your blog?

fist, I do not think it's an act of hate to say that a group of people have a philosophy that gives them meaningless lives. Nothing hateful about that.

Secondly, when the NY times reports crime does that mean they advocate crime? Why is reporting on it the same as advocating it in your mind?

I took down one of the links you have complained about, the body count one. Didn't you notice? I replaced it with another one that talks about how many people communism murdered but doesn't mention atheists.

I gave you about four more sites to bitch about. so hypocritical. none of atheist sites would take down links just because they bother me.

As Kristen pointed out, it may have defaulted because you are under 13. If you are 13 or under I will not debate you. That would be pointless and unfair to you.

I will talk to you though. If you want to discuss belief in God I will discuss with you. We can use my aol email account. Or if you want it to be public we can use the comment box here like we are doing now. But I don't want to debate, bull I will discuss.

But I don't see why you would take it as hate if someone thought atheists must have meaningless lives. Why is that hate? Forty years ago most atheists preached existentialism. A bunch of old Christian books by people like Francis Shaffer talked about how atheists have meaningless lives because atheists of that era said they did. So some Christians still think that's what atheism is about because of those books.

Personally I think anyone doesn't feel life in modern America is meaningless is shallow and doesn't expect enough out of life.
Me:"Secondly, when the NY times reports crime does that mean they advocate crime? Why is reporting on it the same as advocating it in your mind?"`Scuse me? How is linking to some nut who thinks I'm equivalent to a Communist killer and have a meaningless life anything like repoting on crime????

the reason I linked to it is because the site is showing how athiests are belligerently oppressing Christians at Easter and trying to prevent the enjoyment of Easter. You selflessly assume it's all about you of course.Me"I took down one of the links you have complained about, the body count one..."And left the more offensive one up...thanks for nothing...

We're talking about tactics here, Joe; you complain about atheists who make these kind of peurile associations between Christianity in general and bad actors who happen to be Christians; you call it "hate" when they do it...so why would you stoop to using the same tactics if you find them so offensive yourself? You are behaving exactly like the people you complain about. This is what I'm having trouble understanding...

Irrational Athiest Culture: Hatefilled VenomHave you read some of that pinhead's other posts? Talk about hatefilled venom, he's full of it...and it's all directed at atheists.

And if you're concerned about Communist hatred then start a "Communist watch" blog, please don't confuse the issue by promoting this false equivalence between atheism and Communism; they aren't synonyms and you know it.

I also wanted to add my thoughts about that website. I appreciate that Joe replaced that one website with the other one but when I was looking through it I found that the guy actually defends atheism. He says that atheism had nothing to do with communism so I think that site kinda backs up us atheists.

Here is the link to a Q and A session -

http://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/QA.V2.HTML

Q: Is atheism the principal factor in democide, such as that committed by the "Big Three,” Stalin, Mao, and Hitler?

* A: No. I find that religion or its lack -- atheism -- have hardly anything to do in general with wide-scale democide. The most important factor is totalitarian power. Whether a church, atheists, or agnostics have that power is incidental -- it is having the power that is a condition of democide. Incidentally, some ideologies, such as communism, function psychologically and sociologically as though a religion. The only distinction is whether the subject is a god or a man, such as Marx, Lenin, Hirohito, Hitler, Mohammed, Kim Ill sung, Mao, etc.

I don't think Stalin killed just because he was an atheist. If he had been religious he would have found a religious excuse. It's too complex to attributes motives to Stalin. But atheists have this simplistic argument that Christian belief cause people to commit mass murder. It's the same logic. So I just feed their logic back to them and they must live with it.

the one you link to Hermit is where he's responding to the Jesus shitting the Easter egg picture. He is responding to a hate gesture. So I cut him some slack because it is gauling.
