Stupid Atheist Tircks: Some atheists on CARM defend arguing form fallacies Because Apolostist point them out.

Stupid atheist tricks: supporting argument for incredulity!
As incredible as it may seem this atheist actually defends the notion that logcial fallacies, some of them are valid arguments merely becuase it's apologists who point them out. If apologists point out the bad logic then it must be good logic, (HU?)

Deist:
give me an example of what you mean about "theistic incredulity."
Only apologists say arguments from incredulity are no good. Otherwise, we are forced to believe in Heavens Gate and Mormonism, along with Hari Krishna, and Jerry Falwell. Not to mention the Elvis resurrection.

I have better reasons to disbelieve cults than "I refuse to believe them." That is a shallow and rather stupid reason to disbelieve anything.

I can refute scinece on that basis. "I refuse to believe science." argument from incredulity and by your reasoning then that's a valid arguemnt.

Unless you believe in fairies and hobgoblins, arguments from incredulity are valid. To say they aren't is just an apologist trick to divert to discussing why fairies may be possible, and to suggest that since one can't disprove fairies, they are probably real.

another guy posts this fairy Garden nonsense.

Meta:
incredulity does not disprove this. You are confusing the rejection of unreasonable claims with argument from incredulity. Its' stupid to think that Thomas Ananias is on a par with stuff like the fairy deal. You are not saying the same thing as "I refuse to believe therefore it must be false" when you say "I can't believe that because it's too outlandish."

In the first case the truth of the assertion is based upon rejecting or accepting. So you are litter allying it's rejecting it that makes it false. You are confusing that with having reasoning pertaining to soundness and reasonably.

It's not unsound and unreasonable because I reject it, I reject it because it's unsound and unreasonable.

another example where Deist rejects argument from analogy as a fallacy.

Then he also defends argument form analogy.

Pointing out fallacies is an apologist tirck. At the very least htat means he's not only badly read and doesn't know logic but he's too lazy to look it up.

that's two informal fallacies that he's been willing to accept just because apologists use them. This should be known to all it's common knowledge and easily found on any site (not atheist) that discusses logic. Argument from analogy is not proof.

(in the TNG episode where Data lost on a world just discovering scinece he tells the woman doctor as a refutation to her argument 'you are arguing from analogy.')

It should be obvious at this point that atheism is not a movement for intelligent intellectuals. Its' a movement for the unwashed masses who don't think. It's for attention starved high school kids who are angry at their parents and churches. What about all of those atheist websites. While they pout all sorts information into them to enable them make bad arguments why don't they educate them about logic?

either this is some brilliant satire, or you're fucking stupid. how can we take you seriously?

stupid atheist tircks.

TIRCKS
TIRCKS

ITS THE WILL OF GOD

now on to what you actually said. you insult the people of atheism and not the idea. sure there may be stupid atheists, but the idea of atheism is simply the recognition that a religious viewpoint is not always best.

so here's a simple point for you. you are a confessed believer in religion. which bible do you follow. there are different versions of the bible, correct? which version do you believe in? and, unless you speak ancient hebrew, how do you what is in the bible is actually what was in the original bible? and if you don't take the "word of god" literally, are you not the same as us satanic, evil, god-hating atheists? :P

here's another simple point.
1. people should have the right to pursue happiness
(this is written inyour stupid book so maybe we can agree on it, even though it is also blatantly contradicted everywhere else in your dogma/shit)
2. religious organizations impede the ability of people to pursue happiness.

every religion is intolerant of every other religion. how many religious fanatics are there? now how many atheist ones? how many religious wars have been fought? are homosexual peope not denied happiness due to a 2000 year old book?

3. religion is stupid
aren't buddhism and judaism and shintoism stupid? what about ancient greek mythology? what about norse mythology? ridiculous, aren't they? why do you believe in your drivel instead of the drivel that nice indian man across the street worships?

4. im tired of arguing with you, but incredulity is usually dependent on logic, and as your faith is the enemy of reason, you can't really use logical arguments and expect to be taken seriously.

you are taking a silly exception because you just don't like seeing your side be stupid. These guys are not just being dim witted but arrogant and mocking as well. If they just said stupid things nicely I would never put them down. It's their attitude, the old "religious people so stupid we are so support to believers," that angry hateful tone that makes we to lash back.

I have worked at bring up the level of AW so that it's not just always carping aout "O there are stupid people on message boards." Everyone knows that. I get it. it's just the way most boards are. I know that. So I have actually done a good job of bring it up form that level. Look at my articles n Nyborg.

someone has to counter that arrogance sometime.

I have done nothing to take away their right. They are trying to take the rights of religoius people. They sure are open your little childish eyes and look. I've quoted them saying "we have to ridicule them out of their stupid beliefs." they are just doing extortion. they are ridiculing people becuase they don't like their beliefs that's taking way their rights.

I'm not doing that, atheists are!

2. religious organizations impede the ability of people to pursue happiness.

that is stupid. If you don't believe don't go to chruch and you are not under their sway. we live in a secular society.

every religion is intolerant of every other religion. how many religious fanatics are there? now how many atheist ones? how many religious wars have been fought? are homosexual peope not denied happiness due to a 2000 year old book?

you have no data you are just making bigoted and foolish assumptions. every religion is not intolerant. that's a lie. you are making stupid assumptions.

3. religion is stupid
aren't buddhism and judaism and shintoism stupid? what about ancient greek mythology?

no, religion i snot stupid and other religions are not stupid. I' not a fundie. grow up. learn theology and stop saying stupid things.

you don't even know what a fundamentalist is. you think it's just a term for any Christian.

what about norse mythology? ridiculous, aren't they? why do you believe in your drivel instead of the drivel that nice indian man across the street worships?

no they are not ridiculous. you have to live in their context.

4. im tired of arguing with you, but incredulity is usually dependent on logic, and as your faith is the enemy of reason, you can't really use logical arguments and expect to be taken seriously.

I don't know who you are but to my knowledge we have never argued. you are not very bright. you don't understand things you don't read or think much. you don't think abut this stuff you just react.

I don't know what that means.
