Hailarius admition from athiest that he has to follow the crowd

I had put up a post chiding an atheist who I thought was more intelligent than average becasue he stooped to mocking and ridiculing an apologist. Here's what anther atheist says to that:

you are better than that. that guy is a lot brighter than certain people on your side and certainly more so than atheist gives him credit for.
Recall
I can only judge him by how he presents himself. His posts have been inane and repetitive.

what he's calling inane and repetitive is the fact that the apologist put out certain arguments that beat the atheist point cold and the atheists never answered it so he spent time saying "you didn't answer". so page latter when no one remembered it they got away with just not answering then they start calling his arguments "inane."

Meanwhile, look at that first answer. He actually says he cant' break with the group even though he knows they are wrong!

Recall had said: "Your concern is touching, but I have no desire to disavow the secular community on these boards."

Where exactly does Recall say that he knows that they are wrong?

what the athiest on carm said:Recall had said: "Your concern is touching, but I have no desire to disavow the secular community on these boards."

Hermit's comment:Where exactly does Recall say that he knows that they are wrong?

Meta's answer: I know atheists have reading comprehension problems. It would be even hard to expect an atheist to understand an implied meaning they have enough trouble understanding explicit meaning.

the point is he defines correcting atheists who breech ethical guidelines as "disavow the secular community"

to any nomral thinking person that has to mean that he thinks you can't disagree with your peers youa re betrying them (disavowing membership in their group). that means atheists are not going to correct each other when they are full of hate.

that means atheist movement is a cult and not a packs of free thinkers!

That was someone called "Clarence" not Hermit...

Who's the one with the reading comprehension problem here?

you mean you want me to believe that's not your sock puppet? look at his bio. there's nothing there.

As a matter of fact, I'm not A Hermit (though perhaps I could get out more).

When I read the quotations of Recall you provided, I understand him to be declining your request to separate himself from the other members of the board and suggesting that you had given an inadequate reason for him to withdraw his comments. There's nothing to suggest he "knows that they are wrong."

If a Christian were to say "I have no desire to disavow the Christian community," I would not understand that to mean he took the Christian community to be wrong. It would more reasonable to interpret it to mean he was not disavowing it because he thought it was right.

On your other blog, you said you don't post derisive and attacking comments, but I'm having a hard time understanding your comments that "atheists have reading comprehension problems" and that "to any normal thinking person that has to mean" as anything other than derisive and attacking. It seems to suggest that my disagreement with you is caused by a reading comprehension problem of mine and that I'm not a normal thinking person. Apparently you meant you don't allow derisive and attacking comments from other people.

So
1) I'm not A Hermit
2) I'm actually agnostic, not atheist, am a normal thinking person and don't have a reading comprehension problem.
3) Recall does not say "he knows they're wrong" , nor is such implied in what he says. It appears to me he was sticking to what he said because it appeared correct to him given the information he had. You might think he was wrong, but he didn't admit that he, or the other members of the secular community, were wrong. Perhaps you could run your interpretation of what he said by him and ask if that's what he meant?

Cleance if you saw how many posts Hermit has made today (many of them just hateful personal attacks) you would understand why I thought yours was by him.

I recall of that on the carm board, they had a thread that said "why is Christianity evil." I put up one that said "why is atheism is evil" to show them how unfair it is and how it makes you feel. They said mine bad and theirs was good.

after a big stink some of them agreed both were wrong. Then I said "why don't you speak against if it you think its wrong." in that context he was clearly saying "I can't break ranks.

there is no reason on earth to his his in another light that's clearly what he meant.

atheists have such a profound need to mock and ridicule Christians because atheism is much more than just lack of bleief it's a cult of hate. when you question the legitimacy of their emotional fix they get from insulting Christians they go nuts over it.
